Our journey

It all started when Talentiqi’s founder, Cristina, realised that recruitment had lost its joy.

She was sitting in a meeting at an IT company, where yet another failed hire was being discussed. The atmosphere was tense—the new employee had already left, the project was behind schedule, and frustration filled the room. The whole situation felt like a melted ice cream cone—messy, disappointing and anything but enjoyable.

Cristina couldn’t help but think: Why does hiring feel so complicated? Why do companies and candidates go through a process that could be smooth—and maybe even fun?

She remembered visiting her favorite ice cream shop as a child. The endless flavor choices were overwhelming, but the shopkeeper made it an experience—suggesting flavors, helping to choose the add-ons, and making sure the final choice was just right. Why couldn’t recruitment work the same way? Why couldn’t companies get guidance in their hiring decisions? Why couldn’t job seekers feel excited about their next career move instead of stressed?

Cristina had seen both sides of the industry—first as a developer and later as a recruiter. She knew that hiring was often a slow, rigid, and impersonal process.
